It's not a secret that your skin in your 30s is not the same as your 20s. You have to do more to take care of it. Fortunately, we have some handy tips that you can do to take care of your skin even as you enter the 3 zone.
1. Keep your skin hydrated
In your 30s, your skin becomes more sensitive as it loses moisture much faster than a decade ago. So with even a little bit of stress, your skin is more prone to break out. So usegel-like cleansers, wash your face a lot, drink lots of water, and use a hydrating alcoholl-free toner instead of an astringent. Also try to use masks at least once a week.
2. Exfoliate occasionally
Exfoliation is not just for those with oily skin. It is needed to get rid of old cells and keep your skin clear and fresh. Don’t use very hard scrubs, just a gentle acid-based cleanser to clean up the pores and allow the skin to soak in moisture easily. Soft toners like those with hyaluronic acid also help. Don’t exfoliate more than twice a week.
3. Never forget sunscreen
Even if you’re not in the sun. UVA and UVB rays can seriously age your skin, so look for those with PA++++ protection. SPF is important for protecting the melanin composition of your skin, keeping it bright, but in your 30s, you have to worry about skin aging too.
4. Replenish your skin with Vitamin A and Vitamin C
Retinoids and Retinol are very important for retaining your skin plumpness. They boost collagen, will also control acne and breaking out of the skin, but be careful of using too much.
5. Have a night-time skincare routine
Before bedtime, make sure you wash, tone, and moisturise your skin, ever omitting eye cream. This will help you in protecting you from under-eye lines, and can even help you sleep better.
