Never done makeup before and not sure where to start? Don't worry. Just follow the below steps and you will be fine!
Clean your face with a good cleanser, use a light toner, and moisturise your skin. Do this step at least 5-10 minutes before starting your makeup, for the skin to soak in the moisture. Then it will stay hydrated and your skin won't have dry white patches on your makeup.
In cold countries this may not be a crucial step, but if you are in a hot and humid region, like India, or South East Asia, this is an absolute must, as it regulates your skin's oil production
Use a light concealer especially for your under eye circles, and any sort of dark spots and blemishes. Choose a colorclose to your under eye shade, and blend it well, moving your finger in circular motions. I recommend the ones from Mac.
You can use a liquid one or a powder one. The most important thing is to make sure it is as close to your natural skin colour as possible, otherwise it will just look too pale or too dark, and spoil your full makeup. The Studio Fix collection from Mac has a huge assortment of shades.
5. EYE SHADOW
Choose a lighter one for the daytime and a slightly bolder one for the evening. Of course, it depends on your personal taste. Make sure to cover the whole eyelid and remove any extras that drop on your face with a light brush.
6. EYE LINER AND/ OR KOHL PENCIL
You can choose to use an eye liner or kohl pencil on your upper eyelid, and also in the base line of your eye. You can make it as thick or bold as you want!
Use a mascara with longer lashes to accentuate your eyelids. Be careful of using a voluminous one as it might make your eyes look too clumped and unnatural
8. LIP LINER
Choose the shade you want and draw a thin line around the edges of your lips. You can choose a darker shade of the lip liner and a lighter shade of lipstick to blend it in
Use a smooth lipstick brush to blend the lipstick nicely with your lip liner, making sure that the lipstick does not cross the edges and smudge the top or bottom of your lips.
